    Path runs primarly along the Palüdbach. About halfway along one finds the Glingabrunnen, a row of wells with an underground water supply that comes from the Brand glacier. Features: Well; the Zalimtal as an unspoilt valley; refreshment point with alpine produce.

    The Kesselfall (natural monument) lies in an imposing rock gorge in the Sonnenlagant. The Alvier falls thundering and foaming through an approx. 40 m deep ravine. In Innertal at the house of Seekopf the path leads up an easy incline to the crossroads for Kesselfall. Cross over to the right through the crevice in the rock, to the bridge over the Kesselfall. Return route via Weißtannenmaisäß (Schattenlagantstraße) to Brand.

    Brand

    Dorfbahn - service road to Innere Parfienzalpe. Shortly after the Alp towards Niggenkopf - on the southern side of the Lorenzitäli upward. At the highest point cross stream, road below the wide fields of dwarf pine back to Parpfienzalpe. Gorgeous blossoms, especially in early summer. The flora was renowed by botanists right back in the 19th century.

    Brand

    Tour starts with something of a challenge for surefooted walker - Böser Tritt (alternatively with Lünerseebahn). At the Lünersee circuit sign (no. 91.100) head right and up along the rocky massif towards Totalphütte. Return: Totalphütte - Douglasshütte - Lünersee car park.

    Footpath from Brand to Lünerseealpe via Böser Tritt (steep climb) to Doulgasshütte (tip: By bus and Lünserseebahn save 3.5 h). From Doulgasshütte to Lünserseealpe via Verajöchle - Schweizer Tor up to the Öfapass - path down to the Lindauerhütte. Out of the valley towards Latschau - from here by post bus to Schruns - Montafonerbahn to Bludenz post bus to Brand.

  • Nenzinger Himmel

    Brand - Amatschonjoch - Nenzinger Himmel

    After ascending with the Dorfbahn the path leads across the open, elongated spine of the Gulma through the Palüd region to Amatschonjoch. With good visibility there is a wonderful all-round view! The path is steep and narrow as it descends to Alpe Setsch (careful when wet and with snow fields, which sometimes occur in the spring), continue on the alpine path into the delightfully located summer village of Nenzinger Himmel. Return via Alpe Setsch - Amatschonjoch - to the Dorfbahn Brand.

    Peaceful, sometimes shady, rambling route (easily reached from the village) along the Alvierbach - partially fishable - from "Aubrücke" (Innertal) to "Wieslebrücke" (Außertal).

    Walker´s car park direction of Burtschaalpe (tip: sm. marmot colony) to Burtschasattel, wich lies between Loischkopf and Taleukopf. Short detour up Loischkopf (approx. 20 min) guarantees a fabulous 360° panoramic view. Back to Burtschasattel via Fahregg to Furklaalpe. Descent to Ronaalpre to the walker´s car park (5 min).

    Marked path in the direction of Biotop Rosenegg. Council offices - St. Martin´s Chappel - Obergasse - Schassweg - right branch - forest road to Schasswiesen (sm. wooden cabin right). Branch left in direction of Biotop. Return path: Woodland path in the direction of Schloss Rosenegg - prior to entry gate right to feeding station - Hinterburgweg-Werkstraße - council offices. Return variant: At Biotop go left on tarmac forest road towards valley - Schassweg - Obergasse - council offices.

    From Bürs village centre the natural ravine leads through massive conglomerate blocks into the valley. The path turns and leads steeply up to the right, passing a resting spot by the stream, to the highest point of the tour. Here it is possible to climb to Bürserberg (25 min). Descend on a wide path to a larch meadow. Continue on, passing gaping crevices along the route. Finally into the Kuhloch, a dry gorge which contains a bed of coarse gravel. On a small woodland path back to Bürs.

    Zimbapark (parking possible) - Aulandweg, past the campsite right to hintere Graben. Metalled path right to Letschaweg (forest road), passing water pools - Hinterburgweg - at the crossroads right to Werkstraße - Unterrainweg left, passing Gärtnerei Frick, then right in the direction of Zimbapark. For wheelchair users: Path appox. 5 km, metalled and flat, partially firm forest road, partially (apporx. 100 m) with 10% incline.

    Zimbapark - Almteilweg - motorway bridge to Bludenz - right at the motorway police station, into Bremschlstraße - left at the carpenter into Illstraße - along the Ill to hairdresser, over bridge, left and cycle path to pedestrian bridge* (Quadrella) on Bürs side of the Ill on return - briefly on main road - Zimbapark. For wheelchair users: Path appox. 6 km, mainly mettaled, flat, slight incline. *Variant: right into Walgau.

    Schesaplana Tour (2 days)

    Narrow mountain path from Palüdbahn passing Palüdbach and Glingabrunnen, a row of wells with an underground supply from the Brandner glacier. Path runs on into Zalimtal, passing Obere Brüggele Alpe via switchbacks to the Oberzalim Hütte. Via Leiberweg, sometimes over climbing routes blasted into the rock face, on to Mannheimerhütte via the Brandner glacier (cleared & generally well passable ) to Schesaplana. Descend to Totalphütte on a well-used path (caution snowfields in spring!) to the Böser Tritt (or by Lünerseebahn) to Schattenlaganthütte. On foot or by bus (valley station) back to Brand.

  • Zalimtal Brand

    Amatschonjoch - Hirschseele - Spusagang - Oberzalim

    Ride up with the Dorfbahn, walk via Gulmasteig to Amatschonjoch, on to Alpe Setsch, then a steep climb to Spusagang-Scharte. Tour then leads on the Oberzalim Hütte. Return heads via Oberzalimweg to Brand.

  • Zimbajoch Brand

    Walking route from Brand village centre to Bludenz. Path bends right in steep turns into Sarotlatal, up to Saroltahütte. Path leads from here over rocky ground to the Zimbajoch (2.387 m ). Very steep path in zig-zags (rocky terrain) down to the Heinrich-Hueter-Hütte. Down to Saulajoch, across Saulajochsteig upward and crossing multiple gullies towards Lünerseestaumauer and on to Douglasshütte. Onward on the Böser Tritt (or with the Lünerseebahn) to Schattenlaganthütte and on foot or by bus (valley station) to Brand.

  • Mondspitze

    From the walker´s car park (Tschengla) to Alpe Rona in just a few minutes. Onward, partly through woodlands, across alpine meadows, towards Mondspitze. After Furkla Alpe turn right on the service road, which leads to Klampera Sätteli. From Sätteli somewhat rocky and slightly more difficult up to the peak. Descent to the south west, towards Schillersattel. Here head left on walking path downwards, twice crossing the service road to Klampera Sätteli. Then follow this and descend across a meadow directly to Tschengla.
